1: How to use Padlock Protector updated in 2018.

No matter what you want to secure eg.

• Aluminum ladders on a vehicle's roof rack or Trailer.
• Ride on Lawn Mower and other mowing equipment.
• Or any other valuable possession that requires a Chain and Padlock to protect it being stolen or broken into eg. a gate to a post or double gates together.

The method used is the same...

Note: The key is required to lock the Padlock.

1. Place both ends of the Chain in the slot on each side of the Steel Shroud.
2. Place the removable Shackle in the holes at the top of the Steel Shroud.
3. Hold the Steel Shroud in your hand and place a couple of fingers over the top of the Shackle. Look at the opposite end of the Steel Shroud to make sure the Shackle is in the center then insert the Padlock body in the hole at the bottom of the Steel Shroud, turn the key while pushing the Padlock body into the Shackle to lock it.

Note...

The padlock's Shackle only fits into the Padlock body one way, you have to remember the correct way, here's a couple of suggestions:

• The long side of the Shackle goes into the side of the Padlock where the ball bearing has been removed.
• The method I use, on one edge of the Padlock body is a pin hole, the short side of the padlock's Shackle goes in the side where the pin hole is.

Each Padlock is keyed to differ allowing only the key holder to un-lock their own Padlock.

If 2 or 3 factory units are behind one entrance gate, each unit owner can have their own Padlock.

How are the Steel Shrouds joined together...

Can join as many Steel Shrouds together as you want by using three links of Bolt Cutter proof Chain between each Steel Shroud, as you can see in the following picture.
